The type of route. Note that 'direct(3)' refers
to a route for which the next hop is the final
destination; 'indirect(4)' refers to a route for
which the next hop is not the final
destination; 'discard(5)' refers to a route
indicating that packets to destinations matching
this route are to be discarded (sometimes called
black-hole route).
