For example, for a ds1AlarmBPVErrorRate value of 6 used with a ds1AlarmBPVInterval of 15, an alarm is generated when a 15 minute period has an average error rate which exceeds 1 Bipolar Violation (Code Violation for E1) per million bits. For those devices that support ds1 alarm monitoring but who's hardware does not support detect bipolar violations, this object always returns the default, and performs no action when written.
